Based on a dream of that being I had a few weeks (months?) ago, this just kind of fell out while I was drawing the other day.

I'm very happy with the background effect. It's layered markers, smudged together with rubbing alcohol, then layered again.

Markers, rubbing alcohol, canvas.

It dissolves the colour, but not all the way, and blends it.

Love the red patterns on the wings, and the way his face is partly hidden in shadow. Dream imagery is awesome. XD

I like the whole wing-eye melding, the way you can't tell for sure what's background or a hole or a part of him.
